Outfit Inspiration | Little Black Dress

Following on from my recent Outfit Inspiration post, Everyday Parisian Chic, I've decided to do a second one showing an outfit perfect for a night out in Paris and themed around the classic Little Black Dress.

I've been loving bardot necklines recently, shoulders are such an underrated part of your body and enable you to bare some skin without worrying about just how much is on show. I went for this dress mainly because of the bardot neckline but also for the flattering skater style. I was initially debating getting this in white but decided to go for black as it's such a classic colour and means I don't have to worry about getting it dirty (I have a love for messy foods, the food then ends up all over my clothes).

I also went for a plain black clutch and heeled sandals as they're extremely versatile and can be reused to a variety of other occasions. The heels are also a good choice as they're high enough to be suitable to dress up an outfit, but not too high that you couldn't walk in them or have them be too much for a simple dinner.

Breaking away from the black theme I wanted to accessorise with rose gold and white jewellery. I'm currently really into rose gold, white, and gold in general. I've gone from being someone who always said I'd only wear silver jewellery to having a range of different colours and styles. I've also been obsessing over simple geometric styled jewellery such as this plain rectangle bar necklace. It's a great twist on a classic pendant style necklace and can be worn with any kind of outfit.

Finally, for makeup I want to keep it quite simple. A classic smokey eye paired with a peachy pink lip to keep you looking girly but mature. This is the theme I had going for this outfit as sometimes I want to feel like a 'grown up' but also keep a more youthful aspect to my appearance, something which can be translated well through makeup by just going a little lighter with your colours.

What do you think of this outfit? I prefer the more everyday one as I'm a casual kind of girl but it's always nice to have an excuse to dress up and make more of an effort than I usually would!
