Film & TV
After finishing Dexter last month I've not been watching much TV as I can't really find anything that's catching my interest enough to stick with it so I'd definitely appreciate any recommendations anyone may have for me. The only TV series that I did watch this past month was American Horror Story: Coven. I'm a massive AHS fan, I think the story lines are so original and brilliant but also pretty creepy and disturbing, something that's unlike most shows on television right now. I also have a slight obsession with anything 'witchy' or voodoo themed so that automatically drew me to Coven. It was definitely favourite season of AHS so far and I can't wait to see what they're going to do for the next one!
Aside from TV, I ended up watching The Croods as it was on Netflix and I'd wanted to see it since I first saw the trailer a while ago because it looked like the kind of kids film that I normally love and laugh at the whole way through. I wasn't disappointed and actually ended up liking it more than I expected, partly because of Emma Stone being the voice of the main character as I have such a big girl crush on her. If you're into films like Despicable Me or Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs then definitely check The Croods out too!

Literature
As you may have seen in my recent Book Haul post, I ordered a few new books over the past month that I've been slowly working my way through in between carrying on with a few that I wanted to re-read. Out of the new books that I've read so far I'm really pleased with my choices as I've enjoyed them all, my favourite so far being Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald. It's so well written and really gives you an insight into the lives of the Fitzgerald's without being what you may consider 'a boring history book'. I also read the first in the series of Dexter books, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, and didn't like it as much as I like the TV show but I still enjoyed it and will probably purchase the rest so I can see how much the story differs from the show and find out what happens.

Hair & Beauty Products
I've not changed much about my makeup routine this month but I have started using highlighter on my cheek bones again as I'm really loving how it looks right now. I'm currently alternating between the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder which I posted about in a recent haul, and MeMeMe's Beat The Blues Skin Illuminator in Pearl Pink. I'm a big fan of both products as they're dirt cheap but also brilliant quality, Beat The Blues is also a decent dupe for Benefits High Beam.
My hair has also been more dry than usual recently and I spent ages faffing around trying to find a good hair mask but in the end just left some olive oil on the ends for a few hours. My hair was incredibly soft and shiny afterwards, and considering how cheap it was to do that compared to buying some hair masks I may look at making my own using olive oil and other natural ingredients. Maybe I'll even do a DIY post to share it with you!

Music
I've been listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks this month. They're not artists that I had actually listened to properly before although I already knew a lot of their songs already thanks to my mum constantly playing them throughout my childhood. I'm annoyed with myself for not having a proper listen sooner but better late than never right? I've been listening to some of their earlier stuff pretty much on repeat and two of my new possible all time favourite songs are Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac and Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks.

General Life
I've actually been pretty busy over February as I decided to reorganise my room and continue with my massive clear out, this time sorting out bigger things like furniture and clothes. I bought myself a new bookcase as I've once again ran out of space for all my books (no doubt I'll have that filled up within a week haha) and also a floor lamp as other than my main light in my bedroom I only have fairy lights which I don't like to keep on constantly as they get too hot. Next month I'm planning on buying a chest of drawers, some new bedsheets and maybe a few art pieces from various artists on Etsy that I've had my eye on for a while. I'll definitely be doing a room tour when it's all done as my bedroom is my safe place that I spend most of my time in and I love decorating it or buying new things to change it up a little.
I also have some holiday off work this month so I'm going to spend that time relaxing, catching up on blog posts which I haven't read yet, and probably trying out some new things with my blog. Maybe some DIYs or OOTDs which I've so far been too nervous to try!

I hope you enjoyed this little catch up of what I've been up to the past month. It's not been too eventful but as I'm looking to try new things this month, hopefully my Life Lately for March may be a little more interesting! Did you get up to anything exciting over February? Let me know in the comments!
