Mini Lush Haul

Thursday, 23 January 2014

Before Christmas I decided to treat myself to a few Lush goodies with some of my leftover birthday money. I wanted to try out some of the Christmas bath bombs and something for my hair as it's been feeling a little dry recently so I had a browse on the website then selected five products that I liked the look of. My order arrived after a few days and I was super excited to open it up and have a bath with one of my new bath bombs. I've used all of them and loved everything but haven't yet finished American Cream or Candy Mountain though I'll definitely be repurchasing the conditioner and Lush Pud next Christmas, I think they were my favourites out of the bunch!

Candy Mountain:
"The fair trade vanilla absolute, sparkling snowflake lustre and creamy cornflour in Candy Mountain make bath time a sweet treat for big kids as well as little kids. We’ve included some of our bubble crumble mix which adds a magical pink mist to the peaks of foaming bubbles."

Luxury Lush Pud:
"This year, our Lil' Lush Pud has had a luxurious makeover... with a soothing lavender fragrance and calming pastel colours, this bath bomb is perfect for bed time, or any time you want to relax. This bath bomb shares a fragrance with our Twilight bath bomb. With lavender oil, ylang ylang and tonka absolute, you'll be soothed and calmed as little islands of colour float out into your bath water."

American Cream:
"This is a mid-weight conditioner packed with fresh fruit and juices, honey, and herbs that won't leave your hair feeling heavy; just manageable and healthy. Fresh strawberries help strengthen and cleanse the hair, and of course make this smell gorgeous. We've added a splash of orange juice to add gloss too, since its acidity makes the hairs' cuticles lie flat and reflect more light. Lanolin is in there to coat the follicles and help protect it from damage, such as blow drying, while honey helps it stay hydrated. Soothing clary sage and calming lavender help troubled scalps."

Star Light, Star Bright:
"Catch a falling star and put it in your… bath. We have been working for a long time to make this Christmas bath melt – a shimmering bright star for an extra special bath filled with light and lustre. The shea butter fondant centre inside this bath melt is rich and moisturising, creating a soft and creamy bath. When the star melts, its silvery lustre spreads into the water creating a magical trail of starlight. Refreshing ginger and zesty lime oil inspire positivity and will also give you an extra boost. Close your eyes, make a wish, crush this melt under running water and watch as your bath turns into a turquoise, silvery pool of star light."

Lord of Misrule:
"This bath bomb, named after the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools, has a strange and magnificent fragrance created by Gorilla Perfumer Simon Constantine. This bomb will slowly dissolve to reveal a wine coloured centre, with the added sweetness of the world’s first fair trade vanilla absolute, perfectly balanced by the earthy scents of black pepper and patchouli oil."

  1. American cream smells divine. I need to buy some more I guess. I always use it sparingly with my other conditioners :D
Lovely blog, can't wait for upcoming posts!
