Lush Review | Luxury Lush Pud

Monday, 27 January 2014

I bought the Luxury Lush Pud as a pre-Christmas treat with a few other products from Lush, all of which I've loved but the Lush Pud was definitely one of my favourites and something that I'll be eagerly awaiting the release of next Christmas. It's described as having lavender oil, ylang ylang and tonka absolute, and apparently shares a scent with the Twilight bath bomb which I haven't tried yet but may have to as I loved the smell of the Lush Pud.

The main reason why I chose this bath bomb was because of its design and colours. It's so colourful and fun compared to some others and immediately caught my eye, as well as being one of the most interesting bath bombs that I've used. As soon as I dropped it in the bath it began to fizz away and the coloured circles separated from the rest of the bomb then started to dissolve themselves, leaving a array of rainbow colours and froth in my bath.

Eventually the rainbow discs disappear and leave the bath a deep pinky purple colour that reminded me of Ribena. I was in love with the colour and stayed in the bath a good deal longer than I would have just because I didn't want to get out and lose the Ribena-y goodness!

One factor to consider with this bath bomb is that I've seen a few people saying it left their skin a little dry which is a bit disappointing if you have sensitive/dry skin like me, though personally I didn't notice any dryness as I always use the Nivea In-Shower Moisturiser before I get out. Overall I really loved using this bath bomb, it was a change from the normal fragrances that I tend to prefer and the coloured discs made an interesting change to my bath. I can't wait to repurchase this next Christmas!
