Lush Wishlist Part 002 - Face Scrubs, Masks & Creams

Friday, 25 January 2013

The second part of my Lush wishlist is going to be focusing on face scrubs, masks and creams. This will include products designed to treat spots, cleanse your skin, moisturize it, make it glow, something for everyone and every skin type!
My skin is normally quite dry and sensitive, I don't get spots often so I suppose I'm fairly lucky with that but I do get dry patches and can be very sensitive to some products which makes it difficult to find something that works for me.
I've never tried a Lush face product before but I'm hoping that they'll be gentle on my skin and work better than some other products due to the natural fruit, vegetables and essential oils that are often used by Lush. If I find one that I really like then I'll definitely start using it as a part of my daily skincare routine (as long as it isn't too expensive!)

one - Let The Good Times Roll:
"A Maize In, gentle facial wash.

We popped corn oil, polenta, maize flour and cinnamon in here.  The perfect recipe to gently exfoliate, moisturise and soften your skin for those times when you want to get ready for close-ups.
Let The Good Times Roll is a gentle treat for the skin, leaving you soft to the touch with a lingering buttery caramel popcorn fragrance – when you look and feel this good you can give your Body Double the day off!"

two - Angels On Bare Skin:
"As gentle and beautiful as being kissed by angels.
Sometimes the best ideas are the old ones. This cleanser is based on an age old formula that uses the best of ingredients to amazing effects. Angels on Bare Skin evens out skin tone, reduces redness and improves the health and appearance of your skin – giving a natural healthy glow. The ground almonds in this product release their goodness and turn to an almond milk on your hand when you add water."

three - Cosmetic Warrior:
"Are you at war with your face? Don’t do battle with your spots – coax them into surrender.
This is the front line of defence for spot-prone skin."

four - Aqua Marina:
"Marina, Aqua Marina. You're magic to me. A beautiful mystery.
Our pink squishy cleanser that was inspired by mermaids. An ocean of ingredients to soothe and calm the skin. We make a mixture of carrageen extract, vegetable glycerine, Irish moss gel and aloe vera gel. We mix in fine sea salt, sweet wild orange oil and patchouli oil. Then we bind these together with calamine powder and kaolin. Finally we roll the mix inside a large sheet of nori seaweed - to create a huge facial sushi."

five - Celestial:
"Transport sensitive skin to a higher plane.
Every ingredient in this cream has been carefully chosen because they are angelically good on sensitive skins. We put the petals from fresh dove orchids in almond oil and leave them to steep overnight until they give up their goodness into the oil. We then take that oil and add almond milk, cocoa butter, vanilla infusion and vegetable glycerine to create a delicate cream that will moisturise without inflaming difficult skin."

six - Grease Lightning:
"Strikes the spot with lightning precision.
This is for those times when something erupts on your face and you just need it gone as soon as possible. Grease Lightning is a clever combination of natural ingredients that attack spots without taking it out on the rest of your skin."

seven - Enchanted:
"Bewitchingly beautiful eye cream.
The skin around the eye is particularly thin and delicate. It needs specialist care if you wish to moisturise that area. Creams need to not be too heavy or fatty as too much oil can make the area puffy. We have kept this product very delicate and simple, with just the right amount of mild ingredients to help you keep the skin plumped and hydrated without puffiness or irritation."

eight - Brazened Honey:
"Been burning the candle both ends? A detox mask to put things right.
It’s hard to stick to all the rules. Eight hours sleep a night, two litres of water a day, plenty of exercise, five fruit and veg etc. This mask is for when you have overdone things and let the rules slide. A detox to get tired and dull skin back to being radiant and glowing."

nine - Love Lettuce:
"Lettuce show you the way to lovely skin.
This mask is a seaweed gel with exfoliating granules through it. Ideal for those who want to clear away dead skin and brighten the face, whilst also gently treating it to softening ingredients."
"Does your skin feel washed up and abandoned? Get it ship-shape with coconuts and lime.
When you think of a sea spray on your face, you can imagine the cleaning salt, the coolness and the freshness. We have tried to capture this in Ocean Salt - but without leaving you feeling dried out and tight, like the sea is prone to doing. We have taken lashings of fine sea salt to scrub and clean and mixed it with lots of great things that will moisturise and treat the skin."

  1. I have Let The Good Times Roll & I love it. I don't use it daily, just a couple of times a week and I also suffer from dry patches like you do. Originally it was the cinnamon and popcorn that won me over but it really is a nice product - the tub will last a long time as well :) x

    1. I'd say one of the bath bombs or bubble bars! They're what I started out with and they're partly the main reason why I love Lush so much. Plus you can't go wrong with a bubbly bath can you ;)
