Lush Wishlist Part 001 - Soaps & Bars

Thursday, 17 January 2013

I've decided to do a series of posts on Lush and some of the amazing creations from there which I like the look of or plan on buying. Eventually I'm hoping to go through them all and either purchase or find samples of each  product, then review them and tell you all what I thought! I'm quite excited to do this as I've always loved Lush but never really branched out with what I buy from there, mainly just sticking to the bath bombs or Christmas range, so this definitely gives me an excuse to be more adventurous.
I'd also be interested in getting recommendations of what to try or hearing your opinions of certain products on my wishlists so feel free to leave a comment telling me what you think or if you have a review for one of the items on your blog, leave the link for that and I'll be sure to check it out.

I'm starting this off with soaps and bars (massage and body butter bars). I've included the ones which I would like to try the most and Lush's description with the link to each underneath. I try to look for things which will benefit my skin or scents that I think I'd enjoy so you may not agree with all of my choices but take a look around the Lush website and you're almost guaranteed to find something that you'll like!

one - Sexy Peel Soap:
"This is a marmalade citrus hit to get you up in the morning.
If you struggle to get your five-a-day, then it’s because they’re in here instead. Organic orange peel, lemon peel, fresh lemon and orange juice, lime peel, lime essential oil, grapefruit oil, lime juice and lemon oil. All that squeezing leaves us exhausted, so that you can use this when you’re exhausted."

two - Sea Vegetable Soap:
"Peer into the ocean. A deep blue bar for using under water.
The handfuls of seaweed in this soap don’t just look stunning, they are mineral rich and skin softening. You’ll start to feel the effects as you’re washing. This is the perfect soap for banishing nasties due to the sea salt and antiseptic lavender oil."

three - The Godmother Soap:
"For hands that do more than just wishes.
Godmother is much kinder on your skin than liquid soap, which is full of preservatives and antibacterial chemicals. Stop using those nasty pump soaps please and switch to this. Keep a bar by your kitchen sink and reach for it whenever you need to wash your hands. Use it all around the house – perfect for washing after any household chores."

four - Buffy:
"Buffs your backside and slays dead skin, leaving you angel soft.
Ground rice, ground almonds and ground aduki beans make Buffy a triple threat to dead skin and lumpy bumpy bits. They are tough enough to polish away the dead, without being too harsh on your skin. Cocoa butter and shea butter make sure that the skin is left moisturised and dewy soft. Lavender oil is a great oil for soothing the skin and calming the mind."

five - Each Peach:
"Fruity bar that will leave you feeling just peachy.
A lovely rich massage bar with beautiful fruit oils. With this massage bar, we have combined cocoa butter, shea butter, avocado butter and mango kernal butter. Which means this is not just very emollient and moisturising for the skin, but will give a good slip when it is being worked over the body."

six - Schnuggle:
"If sleeping’s a struggle, try a little Schnuggle.
When you’ve had a busy day it can sometimes be hard to unwind, but here’s a wonder bar that will soften and moisturise your skin while leaving it with a soft, relaxing fragrance that’ll have you nodding off as soon as your head hits the pillow. Schnuggle is a little different from our other body butters, as it contains kaolin and absorbent powders which moisturise without leaving an oily feeling. If you like a smooth, matte feel just rub the bar gently over damp skin in the shower and rinse off. You’ll emerge feeling silky soft and ready for bed."

seven - Bewitched:
"If you’re bothered and bewildered, try getting Bewitched.
Most of our massage bars are made with calming sleepy-time essential oils for using last thing at night, but Bewitched is one of the few that we make which will actually help wake you up. It contains zesty lime oil to lift the spirits, mixed with the floral tones of chamomile, violet and jojoba to massage away your troubles. If you’re a fan of Each Peach and Two’s a Pair you’ll love Bewitched – it’s a little more subtle than the full-on zing of Each Peach, but it has the same cheery and uplifting quality."
